摘要

Rate equations for the peroxone process have been formulated taking into account the direct oxidation, formation of hydroxyl radical, and its subsequent radical reactions. Kinetic data obtained for the hydrogen peroxide-ozone reaction are examined. The free radical reactions seem to be predominant in the aqueous solution in the pH range of 6 to 10 with the molar concentration of hydrogen peroxide at about 30 to 2,000 times greater than that of the dissolved ozone.
