The absorption spectra of neodymium nitrate complexes with crown ethers (18-crown-6, 15-crown-5 and diamino-18-crown-6) have been determined in Methyl-cyanide (CH_3CN), dimethylformamide (DMF) and dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) solvents,the oscillator strengths of complexes have been calculated on the basic of the Judd -Ofelt theory and the effect of the solvents on oscillator strength and symmetry of the complex has been discussed.
