This work deals with the solution to the coupled optimization problemof multiple-satellite orbital transfer. The studied problem involves acoupled formulation of the terminal conditions of the satellites. Thesolution was achieved using functional optimization techniques by acombined algorithm. The combined algorithm is based on the First-Order-Gradient and Neighboring-Extremals algorithms. In the scope of thiswork, a generic multiple-satellite orbital transfer optimization tool wasdeveloped. This work includes examples for satellites with electricalpropulsion systems and comparison to previously published results.
