Personal identification and precognition of facial expression from facial images

In this paper, we present a machine vision that is capable of personal identification and recognition of facial expression from facial images. A mosaic pattern with varying resolution is introduced and is used together with a NN to extract both high and low frequency components of images. The system can also extract face image regions from original images.
