Image-based markerless measurement of the human body motion hierarchial part decomposition of the human body contour

摘要

This paper describes a method to decompose the human body hierarchialy using curvature of the contours. The contours are obtained from video sequences by using snakes. This method does not require any models of the human body, so it will be useful to decompose and analyze the motion of the human body and other articulated objects.
