Analytical study on non-linear seismic response behavior of seismic isolator and bridge column system

摘要

Analytical study on seismic behavior of seismic isolator and RC bridge column system, where the principal non-linear response was expected at both the isolators and the columns, was conducted. Parametric studies using 2 DOF system was carried out to study the seismic response characteristics of seismic isolator and RC bridge column system comparing to that of the equivalent 1 DOF system. Based on these parametric studies, the characteristics of the non-linear 2 DOF seismic system response behavior was discussed. A static estimation method of the non-linear 2 DOF system response using equal energy principle was developed and its accuracy was verified.
