Multiresolution relaxation: experiments and evaluations

摘要

A multiresolution relaxation method for edge detection isproposed. Using multiresolution representations of the imagehierarchical representation, it is possible to change the weightedcoefficients by considering the values at the high level of the pyramidas a measure of the local edge features in the image. Satisfactorydetection can then be obtained at all points, and the convergence speedof the relaxation process can be improved greatly. This method also hasthe advantage of obtaining compact border of objects in the images
