Current activities of competent bodies and notified bodies, operating under the EMC Directive

For products where testing is performed without (fully) applying harmonised standards the services of a competent body (CB) are necessary. Most radio transmitters are subject to the conformity assessment procedure, requiring an EC type examination certificate from a notified body (NB). The paper describes the current activities of CBs and NBs in relation to the other organisations active in the field of the EMC Directive, giving: scope of organisations, operating under the EMC Directive and information of the work programmes.
