The concept of microgrids has become a potential solution to improve reliability and security in the supply of electrical energy. With the growing presence of microgrids in current electric power systems, more studies regarding these issues are demanded. In islanded operation of microgrids, one of the many concerns that must be investigated is the voltage profile of the system. During the day, the voltage and frequency profiles are variable, since the loads also vary, so it is possible that some buses can experience low voltages and consequently the system operates at undesirable levels. The identification of the critical buses and the possible voltage level correction constitute an important task related to operation and planning issues. This paper aims to present a methodology based on Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS). For this purpose, a time continuous load flow used in microgrids is presented and executed many times until the convergence of the MCS. Load shedding policy in order to correct the voltage profile of the system is also proposed. The results considering a time period of one month are validated in a modified IEEE 14 bus test system.
