On the Equivalence between some Block Oriented Nonlinear Models and Nonlinear Polynomial State Space Models

In order to determine how rich the class of nonlinear polynomial state space models is, a comparison with some standard block-oriented nonlinear models is made. The pros and cons of both modelling approaches are discussed, and illustrated on two real measurement examples.
