A review of microwave power applications in industry and research

摘要

Applications of microwave power in industry and research are reviewed based on the authors' experience from participation in projects and thematical workshops. This summary highlights successful branching of electromagnetic software tools and hardware design procedures from their classical telecommunications background into a diversified world of microwave processing of foods, chemicals, and minerals. The need and framework for interdisciplinary research in other areas, such as microwave-assisted sintering or mining, is also pointed out to attract the attention of MIKON participants.
