Dust and radon daughters are two major hazards to miners. In this paper the thermoluminescent detectors (TLDs)are used to measure the radon daughters’ concentration at a coal mine site that locates in ShanDong Province, China. In thismethod, the TLDs were set in the respirable dust sampler, so that the detector could be radiated by radon daughters aerosolssampled on the filter. When the air flux and sample time are fixed, the accumulative radon daughters on filter are in directproportional to the radon daughters’ concentration in air. The quantities of photos that emitted by TLD element are thefunction of the accumulative radon daughters on filter, so of course it is the function of the radon daughters’ concentration inair. Through calibrations in standard radon room, some parameters correspond to the function can be ascertained, so theconcentration can be measured by TLDs. Three samples are measured in this paper and the result is satisfactory.
