It is suggested that, in order to improve the efficiency of engineering education, the students should pass an entrance examination for better selection. The lectures should be delivered in up-to-date methods and the lecturers have to be rewarded and promoted not only for their research but also for good quality of teaching. The control of the teaching process is to be increased. The laboratory practice for some of the subjects should be done only after the examination is passed. Appointments for work should be obtained only by passing a hard interview, salaries for engineers must be considerably higher.
