Need for quality assurance related to PACS

Abstract: Quality Assessment or Quality Assurance (QA) in PACS has its roots in QA procedures which have been developed in the course of many years of radiology practice. The need for QA in all aspects of radiology is being escalated by more complex technology, administrative controls, and economic factors. Growth in PACS is leading to increased demand for QA at the system level, as well as for individual PACS components and modalities. !
