The recycling of high quality magnesium scrap from the high pressure die casting (HPDC) process is a key element in the total magnesium supply chain. Furthermore, as magnesium becomes specificed for an increasing number of applications, primarily in the automotive industry, the recycling of second generation components from the recovery of End of Life Vehicles(ELVs) is likely to play an increasingly important role in the supply of magnesium in the long term.
