摘要

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the influence of the adoption of the European credit transfer system (ECTS) on the didactic model of Spanish Universities. Student evaluations of the new active methodologies and evaluation procedures were analyzed to see how these influence the development of competences and abilities required in the context of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). The present work is the first phase of a larger project which examines the transformation of the obligatory subject Introduction to Statistics (IS), in the first year of the degree course in the Faculty of Business Administration and Management (Administration y Direction de Empresas FADE) at the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia (UPV) during the academic course, 2009-2010, in which the implantation of the pilot ETCS credit programme was initiated, hi spite of the need for a larger study, the results draw attention to the importance of university students in the adaptation process.
