This paper aims to solve the hangfire problem in Gatling gun, and it presents a set of hangfire control and test modules. The modules include three parts: the test and sensor part, the center process module and the actuating mechanism. The test and sensor part is composed of a percussion location sensor and housing acceleration sensor. The percussion location sensor consists of a pair of semicon laser and a receiver of light-sensitive diode in order to detect the percussion location of each barrel. The center module includes a logical operation unit which compares the signal from the percussion location sensor and acceleration sensor and judges the state and determines whether to take action or not.. The actuating mechanism is composed of friction disk and gives brake moment on the rotate shaft. The operating principle is that if the test and sensor module fails to detect the acceleration of main part ,which is obtained by the shot of cartridge ,within the preset safe time in the front dwell section of the cam curve , then the center process module judges the status and emits a command to the actuating mechanism, and the actuating mechanism carries out the action of deceleration or braking respectively, thus it can ensure the fire safety of Gatling gun.
