摘要

Multi-step pushover method (MSP method) is a new earthquake damage evaluation method according with current code, which is proved to be a method with high efficiency, simplicity and good accuracy. It has been widely used in civil engineering seismic damage forecasting .In the MSP method, the stiffness model (MSK) of a civil engineering building is affected by several factors which have not yet been completely realized. In this paper, an improved model is put forward by compare with nonlinear time-stepping method. The calculative results of some cases indicate that the new model put forward in this paper is practicable, and the analytical error is trifling. It can be concluded that the new model is suitable to the demand of the civil engineering building and help further improvement of the MSP method.
