POWERFUL ELECTRON BEAMS FOR CYCLOTRON RESONANCE DEVICES

摘要

Main versions of electron-optic systems to form powerful Helical Electron Beams (HEBs) for such devices as gyrotrons, Large Orbit Gyrotrons, CARMs, gyro-TWTs and some others are specified. Demands to HEBs parameters are listed. Classification of HEBs formation systems is done. Ways to improve beam quality are traced. Different collector systems and their possibilities to dissipate the residual beam energy are reviewed. Systems with depressed collectors are described.
