Especially, the road design and the traffic controls play a very important role. In this connection the accident investigation with indepth studies is a very strong element for further improvement. 1. Automotive safety must become a much higher task for our society 2. High sophisticated technical solutions without considering all human aspects are not sufficient. To work as an engineer in the field of automotive safety requests a high degree of responsibility but gives at the same time a very high satisfaction. The still too high number of injuries and fatal accidents on our roads demands a high engagement of all participants.
