Development of the heat pipe used for an electronic equipment casing

In recent years various kinds of electronic equipment have appeared with dramatic development of electronic technology. In this paper a copper-acetone specially shaped heat pipe is introduced for cooling the electronic elements inside the electronic equipment casing. To ensure the temperature in the casing lower than 60℃ as required through natural heat convection, four heat pipes with rectangular fins are parallelly arranged onto the casing. Each of the pipes has a length of 1m and "Γ" shape, it's lower part (evaporating section) with an oblate cross-section is positioned vertically inside and the upper part (condensing section) inclined outside the casing. The structure of the new type heat pipe has been proved effective through years of operation.
