摘要

Static and dynamic wind actions play a fundamental role in super-long span bridge engineering. After an historical retrospective on suspension bridge design, with emphasis on the influence exerted by computational methods on aesthetic and economy of such kind of bridge, a general framework of methods and application of CFD to structural engineering is done. A review of different numerical methods adopted in aerodynamic calculations is made.
