摘要

The Genome Template Model (GTM) is a simple algorithmic model designed to bridge ecological and evolutionary processes. This connection is made by modeling ecological traits, such as reproduction and mortality, as "ideal genomes," which are then coupled to the bit-string genome of individuals to determine a given individual's fitness. In this paper we introduce the GTM and a supporting deterministic framework, and use these to study evolution of life-history strategies.
