Epoxy Resin Systems Modified with PEEK Polymers

摘要

A series of PEEK polymers were synthesised and used to blend with epoxy resin. All the polymers were effective in improving the fracture toughness with out much reduction in other mechanical properties. The extent of improvement was dependent on the type, composition and interaction between the blend components and the mechanisms responsible for increasing the fracture toughness were identified.
