摘要

In this paper an energy efficient task scheduling algorithm for I/O devices is presented. The proposed approach considers multiple I/O devices with multiple processors that are either homogeneous or heterogeneous. For gaining the reduced energy consumption on I/O devices, a clustering technique that maximizes the I/O device idle time is used. The experimental results show that the approach reduces the energy consumption of I/O devices in all the testing cases, as well as saving the processor power.
