Effectiveness and Efficiency of the Activities of the Mexican Regulatory Body in Radiological Matters

The Comisión Nacional de Seguridad Nuclear y Salvaguardias, will arrive to the first quarter of arncentury next year (2004), and as part of the strategic planning program, has been initiated a systematic evaluationrnprocess to qualify the role performed by this regulatory body in this period of time, taken into account differentrnparameters established to evaluate the global performance of the body. The historical performance, thernestablishment of the regulatory framework, the parameters and the expectations of the goals in a country withrnshrinking budget and a proposed reorganization and modernization of the rules and regulations for the immediaternfuture, is also discussed.
