New architecture for fingerprint identification system to apply biometrics to various applications

This paper presents an architecture for a fingerprint identification system that provides user authentication in various applications. In the architecture, all users have their own token and use it for fingerprint identification, and the systems authenticate users using their tokens. The architecture also allows user identification customization to enhance accuracy. A prototype system demonstrates that the architecture can be applied to various systems and that it enhances identification accuracy.
