Newsboy Problem with Fuzzy Demand

摘要

This paper discusses newsboy problem with fuzzy demand. Due to the fuzziness of the demand, the cost resulted from each order quantity is also fuzzy. Liu and Liu's definition of expected value of fuzzy variable is utilized to find the optimal order quantity in terms of the fuzzy cost. A general conclusion is reached and a case study is given to illustrate this method. Apparently, the methodology of this paper can be applied to solve other Inventory models with fuzzy demands.
