THE PREPARATION OF Ba HEXAFERRITE NANOPARTICLES IN WATER-CTAB-HEXANOL MICROEMULSIONS

Magnetic Ba-hexaferrite nanoparticles with a narrow size distribution were prepared by calcination of a precursor synthesized using precipitation in water-CTAB-hexanol microemulsions. Pure Ba-hexaferrite powder was obtained by calcination for two hours at temperatures above 750℃. Detailed analyses of the phase evolution during heating of the precursor are reported.
