Based on the lubrication and friction analysis for piston ring, lubrication oil film is considered as a coupling component of the heat transfer relationship between piston set and cylinder liner. A three-dimensional cycle instantaneous heat transfer model is developed. Based on the above model, the corresponding software is developed. A three-dimensional cycle instantaneous heat transfer analysis is applied to a 6110 diesel engine. The method of coupling analysis adopted resolves sliding contact boundary condition that is difficult for a single method, and increases the precision simulated. The comparison between the calculation result and the experimental result shows that by the lubrication and friction analysis for piston ring, the results of cycle instantaneous analysis performed for piston set-cylinder liner coupling system, which reflect the temperature field distribution of the coupled components actually.
