A MODEL FRAMEWORK TO CHARACTERISE THE NEHRS PREPAREDNESS: A SOUTH-EAST EUROPEAN PERSPECTIVE

This paper addresses the issues of the National Electronic Health Record Systems (NEHRS) development, as well as, data quality in electronic health records. A model framework is stepwise produced, that allows for the characterisation of the preparedness and the readiness of a country to develop an NEHRS. The model is built from secondary data of published reports, considered within a sample of five developed countries. The model is the instantiated for the case of Greece, Romania and the UK, as an example of its first application.
