摘要

The mechanical contact between solid bodies Belongs to strong non-linear problems and its solution usually poses signi cant computational di culties in non-trivial cases. Trying to solve contact between two or more bodies, we can meet another non-linearities, namely the geometric and material ones, which often occur along with the contact problems. This paper is concerned with the application of the FETI (Finite Element Tearing and Interconnecting) method to solution to contact problems while in addition we also consider another non-linearities, because we assume that the bodies in contact can experience large displacements and rotations and also exhibit inelastic material behaviour. The basic ideas of the FETI methods and its application to the solution to contact problems along with the algorithm considering all the mentioned non-linearities will be presented. The precision and robustness of our method will be documented by the results of numerical experiments in terms of the stress distributions and convergence rate.
