ThisAIP Proceedings chapter contains the papers presented in Symposium 13:"Theory, modeling, investigation and simulation of Low-Dimensional Semiconductor Systems" at the 10th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF COMPUTATIONAL METHODS IN SCIENCES AND ENGINEERING (ICCMSE 2014), that was hold in Athens, Greece, Metropolitan hotel, at April 04-07, 2014. It is well known that low-dimensional systems, such as quantum dots, quantum wells, nanocrystals, nanosheets, nanorods and nanowiresconstitute a firm basis for advancedphysics with applications in optoelectronics andmicroelectronics.The "Theory, modeling, investigation and simulation of Low-Dimensional Semiconductor Systems" symposia is anannual forum addressed tothe fundamental and applied aspects of physics of low-dimensional systems, including the theory, modeling, characterization and simulation of electronic low-dimensional semiconductor structures with whole range of their possible future applications.Both theoretical and experimental contributions have been chosen for the publication in this AIP Proceedings. We would like to thank all contributors of AIPProceedings chapter for their excellent presentations and papers, as well as the reviewers for their important and careful job to ensure the publication of high quality.
