摘要

This paper studies the practical requirement of the enterprise on concurrent engineering, proposes architecture of concurrent engineering of railway rolling stock. Then, from the views of management, engineering and supporting sub-systems the paper expounds the enabling technologies of concurrent product design and their applications. Management sub-system contains three functional modules: modeling and improvement of product development process, workflow management and product data management. Engineering design sub-system consists of digital product modeling, stamping and cast moulds design system, CAD/CAPP information integration, Cost Estimation and CAE. Supporting Environment Subsystem comprises Product Data Management and Network sub-systems. Because the technologies are used, concurrent product design is realized, the cycle of product development is shortened, product quality is improved and the cost of product development is also reduced.
