GENETIC ANALYSIS OF STERILITY OF Brassica napus cv. QIANYOU 2AB

Genetic analysis of a new "double zero" sterile line Brassica napus cv. Qianyou 2AB indicates that the sterility of Qianyou 2AB is stable and absolute, which is not influenced by environmental and cultural conditions. The line belongs to a heterozygous, dominant nuclear male sterile type, of which the mechanism of maintenance and restoring of the sterility is different from other male sterile lines. The sterility is controlled by the interaction of two pairs of dominant nuclear genes. It is an ideal material at present for hybrid rape breeding.
