The turbine meter has bene used in as measurement for over ninety five years.In the last fifty years,extensive research and devleopemnt work has generated significnant advances in turbine gas meter technology.Those advances,in ocmibntion with the experience gained from extensive field testing and applciatisn over a wide variety of oeprating conditions.Have resulted in significnat imporvement s in meter performance and reliability.Outstanding progress has bene made in the arreas of rotor and flow passage esign; thrust load balancing; bearing selection,protectin,and lubratctation; internal flow conditionign; high pessure calibration; field checking; and the devlopemtn of natuional and internatioanl stanadards.Today,the turbine gas meter is recognizzed and accepted for accurate and reliable custody transfer in the gas industry.
