摘要

The article suggests an approach to energy-saving control of street lighting based on the Smart Grid concept. An energy-saving effect is largely achieved through the round-the-clock luminary dimming. To determine the efficient dimming levels, the paper offers the automated system for model-predictive control of outdoor lighting. Luminary dimming modes are corrected depending on the natural lighting conditions and special requirements for lighting depending on the time of the day according to the actual road lighting and traffic intensity data.
