In this paper there are presented the comparative results regarding the resistance wear behavior of sintered conventional carbon steels, respectively of sintered carbon steels obtained through an original proceeding which consist of carburizing compact iron powders at the same time with sintering. The research was done on parallelepipedal samples of iron powders pressed at 400 and 600 MPa, followed by a simultaneous carburizing and sintering process in a protective argon medium. The facilities and the installation were performed by the authors of the paper and represents an original contribution to the obtain iron powders parts. It is also presented the influence of the working parameters: compacting pressure, carburizing time and temperature and sintering time and temperature - over the wear resistance of these materials. In order to determine the friction coefficient, it has been used a CSM tribometer TRB 01-02541.
