Novel Current Induced Short-Time Sintering Processes for the Production of Diamond Tools

Slabs and flagstones for decoration of the basement or the walls and memorial stones are mainly fabricated of natural stone. These products are mostly processed by machines, which are equipped with special diamond grinding tools. Especially since the market launch in the 50s these diamond tools displaced almost all conventional cutting and grinding materials (corundum, silicon carbide) in the area of natural stone and concrete. [1] These tools are fabricated powder-metallurgical by diverse well known conventional production routines like sintering under vacuum or hot pressing.
