摘要

For SPC, it is clear that the reactivity of the chromium-containing steel matrix with diamond is strongly inhibited. Thus, the formation of chromium carbides is reduced due to the short processing time (milliseconds) in the SPC process. Based on these results and observations, further investigation should focus on the application of metal matrix compounds with a strong reactivity, and on the use of titanium-coated diamonds for improved interface bonding.
