Evapotranspiration (ET) is crucial to water resource management, and regional ET is usually estimated by remote sensing. However, ET estimates through remote sensing are instantaneous values that need to be converted into daily totals. The study proposed the Gaussian fitting method to convert instantaneous ET retrieved by remote sensing into daily ET in Northwest China.
