As an intersection of high and low voltage level distribution network, distribution transformer is the key point of power quality control. An integrated hybrid compensation system for distribution transformers of Dyn connection is proposed in this paper. The active power filter (APF) and the thyristor controlled reactor (TCR) and the passive filter branch access to the delta winding via connecting taps. TCR is used to achieve dynamic compensation of reactive power. The passive filter branch is designed to be capacitive. While extending the TCR compensation reactive range, some harmonic currents generated by the load and TCR are filtered out, further reducing the APF capacity. APF is used to increase the dynamic response speed of reactive power compensation and compensate the harmonic current generated by load and TCR. The simulation verified the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
