The research paper presents an innovative and novel approach to improve the present plowing methods used in traditional cultivation. The focus is made on reducing labor and the time required in farming. An automatic farm plowing navigation device is made that can be mounted on the top surface of the vehicles used for plowing. The device marks the parameters of land to be cultivated and then directs the vehicle to cover the respected cultivatable area. The hardware components include line lasers for marking the perimeters of the land, potentiometer based angle measuring device for calculating the required distance from the vehicle to the boundaries, Arduino as the microcontroller, relay-based control device to automatize the navigation, LCD for display and hex keypad for data entry. The overall approach is different from popular trends that employ various modish technologies like machine learning, computer vision and artificial intelligence for automating things.
