The on-board computer for LEO satellites being developed by KARI adopts the LEON2-FT/AT697F processor to achieve high performance, and various communication devices such as SpaceWire, MIL-STD-1553B, DMAUART and CAN Master are integrated to the separated communication FPGAs within the OBC. Where they can be controlled by the processor and flight software through PCI interfaces. The interrupt service routines of flight software under VxWorks 5.4 RTOS are newly designed and implemented for processing interrupts from various devices in the communication FPGAs which are forwarded to the PCI bus. The exception handlers of AT697F have also been newly developed. This paper presents the architecture of processor board in the next-generation OBC and describes the exception and interrupt handling methods of flight software with VxWorks 5.4 for the next-generation LEO on-board computer from KARI.
