With the continuous improvement of automobile electronization, the number of on-board ECU and the amount of software code in Car also increase greatly. The numerous and geographically dispersed on-board ECU and the increasing amount of code make on-board ECU firmware upgrades a huge challenge in terms of staffing, time and geographical management. This paper designs a communication protocol EVUGP that supports remote firmware upgrade, and introduces the protocol model, communication mechanism and frame structure of EVUGP, and provides a reliable and effective implementation mechanism for remote upgrade operation of on-board EUC firmware and related data.
