Logistics Distribution Information System Based on 3rd Generation MobileCommunication Technology

On the basis of discussing the characteristics of logistics demand ofcommunication information, communication information is divided into threecategories which include dynamic, static and relevance. In order to fully grasp thedynamic communication information, a three layer platform of logistics distributioninformation system is designed. This is based on the 3rd generation mobilecommunication technology (3G), and expounding the composition and workingprinciple of regional distribution centers. Then on-board information devices aredesigned, which is one of the most important logistics information terminals. Thebenefits of regional distribution information systems, based on 3G mobilecommunications technology, is illustrated using the example of taking on–boardinformation devices together with real-time communication information to locate theshortest time line. The system can make vehicles receive communication informationat anytime and anywhere, so it is more suitable to the characteristics of time-varyingand dynamics of regional distribution information.
