NEW FORMULATIONS WITH METHYLAL AS A BLOWING AGENT FOR VARIOUS RIGID, FLEXIBLE AND INTEGRAL SKIN POLYURETHANE FOAMS

Methylal is an economical physical blowing agent with good insulating properties and good toxicological, ecotoxicological and atmospheric behaviour. Formulations for rigid, flexible and integral skin polyurethane foams have been developed with Methylal as the only physical blowing agent. These formulations are designed to replace formulations blown with HCFC-141b. Formulations and properties are compared.
