For the high axial resolution and the completely coherent imaging property despite of the actual size of detector in single mode optical fiber confocal scanning microscopy (FOCSM), the FOCSM had been studied and developed rapidly in recent years. The theoretic scheme and coherent transfer function was described. On the base of coherent transfer function, the relation formula was deduced which indicated the relation between the resolution and the parameters of optical fiber, light wavelength and object lens. In the course of deducing, compared with common microscopy, the result that the FOCSM has higher both plane and axial resolutions was explained. In actual application, the relation formula can instruct the design and choosing of parameters of relative devices (such as optical fiber, light wavelength and object lens) according to index of plane and axial resolution.
