Sounding radio channels for 1.8 GHz personal communications systems

Installing a personal communications system may not be anstraightforward task, since indoor coverage predictions seem to bencritical and time dispersion problems may occur. Therefore, a channelnsounder has been designed to assess radio channels in the 1.8-GHz bandnin real time. Parameters characterizing the channel for a particularnsystem are proposed, and their relevance has been investigated andnverified for a particular case. Measurements carried out in a warehousenshow the importance of careful planning of the fixed stations for annindoor system
