A gain scheduling approach to the control of dynamic systems with sector nonlinearities is given. Thegain scheduled controller proposed uses the system state to switch linear robust controllers in subsetsof the system domain of attraction around the operating point. The procedure guarantees the stabilityof the feedback closed-loop system and reduces the amount of conservatism that results when a largeregion of attraction around the operating point is considered. In addiction, the problem of guaranteedtransition between operating points by using a pre-specified path in the state space for the systemoperating points is considered.
